Get your plan

See exactly who takes leave when. Move days between parents, export to your calendar, or download a PDF for the fridge or to share with your employer.

Everything a busy parent needs

Covers England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland

Term dates for dozens of local areas, updated for 2025-26 and 2026-27. Academies and private schools can enter dates manually.

Works for co-parenting families too

Each parent gets their own leave plan. Family holidays can be assigned to just one parent if needed, ideal for co-parenting families.

Spreads leave proportionally

Termy factors in your remaining leave, next year's entitlement, part-time working patterns, inset days and childcare needs, so nothing gets left uncovered.

Export to calendar & PDF

Export each parent's leave dates straight to Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook. Download a PDF to stick on the fridge or share with your manager or HR.

Plan reminders for uncovered terms

Not ready to plan summer yet? Exclude it for now and get a calendar reminder 3 months before. Termy nudges you back when the time is right.

Inset days included

Add your school's training days and Termy factors them into the plan. Inset days use leave just like holidays, so nothing catches you off guard.

Who it's for

Built for every family setup

Two-parent families

Split holidays fairly between two working parents. Termy balances leave across the year so neither parent ends up carrying it all.

Single parents

See exactly how many days you need each term and where childcare is required. Plan ahead with confidence, not guesswork.

Co-parenting families

Each parent gets their own independent leave plan. Family trips are assigned to whoever is going, and each person exports their own dates.

Complex leave years

Leave resets mid-year? Work part-time? Termy handles it all and shows exactly what you have available now and later.

One price. The whole year sorted.

Questions

Frequently asked

Yes, the first term is completely free. You get the full experience: your plan, your leave split, and a calendar export. If you want to plan all terms across the year, that unlocks with Termy Annual at £9.99/year.
Termy covers local authority schools across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland for 2025–26 and 2026–27. If your school is an academy or private school with different dates, you can enter your own dates manually.
Absolutely. Termy shows you exactly how many days leave you need each term and flags any days that will need childcare, holiday clubs, grandparents, or a childminder. It also spreads your leave across the whole year so you never run out before summer.
Really well. Each caregiver has their own leave balance, work pattern and plan. Family trips can be assigned to just one parent or shared between both. Each person exports their own dates to their own calendar independently.
No problem. Tell Termy which month your leave resets and it automatically plans across both pots, spending the right amount from each to cover the whole academic year.
Yes. You set which days of the week you work and Termy only books leave on those days. Days you're not contracted to work are automatically free.
Yes. Tap any period to expand it, then tap Move on any day to reassign it to another caregiver, move it to childcare, or put it back. Your leave totals update instantly.
Yes. Mark any term as Plan later and Termy removes it from your current plan but intelligently holds back the right amount of leave so you won't be short when you come back to it. You can also set a calendar reminder to nudge you 3 months before it starts.
Yes. Download a PDF showing every day you need to book off, organised by term. You can also export directly to Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook so your leave days are right there when you go to book them.

Yes, automatically. UK bank holidays are built into Termy and never counted as annual leave days. So if a school holiday falls partly over Easter bank holidays, Termy only counts the working days you actually need to book off.
Termy works best for parents with fixed, consistent working days — for example Monday to Friday, or set part-time days like Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If your pattern rotates week to week or changes regularly, Termy won't be able to plan accurately and isn't the right tool at the moment. We hope to support more flexible patterns in a future update.
Termy works in days only. If your leave is tracked in hours, you can convert your entitlement to days — divide your total hours by your contracted daily hours (e.g. 168 hours ÷ 7.5 hours = 22.4 days). It's not perfect but works well enough for planning purposes.
